According to Horn & Kahle 1935-'37, p. 369, his collection of Coleoptera
came in the possession of E.J.G. Everts (q.v.), D. van der Hoop (q,v.), H.J.

Since 1853 he was stationed in W.-Sumatra, in the course of 1861 transferred
to Ambon from where he made zoological collecting tours in the Moluccas and
the Aroe Islands. He went on furlough i.n 1867, but returned to the Indies in
1869. Between 1859 and 1872 he sent much material to the RMNH, a.o. mammalian
skeletons, insects from Padang, his entomological collection from Sumatra,
later on also collections from Ambon, the Moluccas and Bornea, esp. insects,
