1724 taken up in the Surgeons Guild. Lector philosophy and mathematics,
Leiden univ.; 1730-1770 town physician; 1731-1779 Member and Assessor of the
Collegium Chirurgicum. In 1742 he developed a plan to reclaim the Haarlemmermeer
without dikes.
He possessed a collection that was bought by the Univ, of Leiden ca. 1754.
"Catalogus van verschijde cabinetten met rariteiten verzamelt in 50 jaare
door L. en C. Zumbag de Koesfelt" 1753 (in arch. Univ. Leiden). A cabinet
was offered for sale 1780 at Leiden. Vosmaer 1790 (esp. mentions minerals).
