1724 taken up in the Surgeons Guild. Lector philosophy and mathematics,<br />

Leiden univ.; 1730-1770 town physician; 1731-1779 Member and Assessor of the<br />

Collegium Chirurgicum. In 1742 he developed a plan to reclaim the Haarlemmermeer<br />

without dikes.<br />

He possessed a collection that was bought by the Univ, of Leiden ca. 1754.<br />

"Catalogus van verschijde cabinetten met rariteiten verzamelt in 50 jaare<br />

door L. en C. Zumbag de Koesfelt" 1753 (in arch. Univ. Leiden). A cabinet<br />

was offered for sale 1780 at Leiden. Vosmaer 1790 (esp. mentions minerals).<br />
