In this very old town the Dukes of Gelderland kept lions, falcons and other
animals (e.g. parrots). Haller 1883, p. 58 (v. ca. 1725) mentions also the
Reichswald; Veryard 1701, p. 16 (v, 1682) saw a monstrous child in the University.
