Possessed a cabinet, esp. minerals. We know of two catalogues of Gri.ll's<br />

cabinet (he probably had two cabinets), viz. his "Catalogus van<br />

sijn Rariteitenkabinet" (Amsterdam 1728) (Boehmer 1785, I, p. 390; Murray<br />

1904, II, p. 267); and his "Museum Grilli.ani" (Amsterdam 10 April 1776; sold<br />

after his death) (Boehmer 1785, I, p. 390; Vosmaer 1790; Lugt nr. 2525).<br />

Grilliana to which he added his own commentaries (cf. Engelbronner, q.v.);<br />

Argenville 1780, p. 335 mentions especially his minerals. Bjornstghl 1782,<br />
