Possessed a cabinet, esp. minerals. We know of two catalogues of Gri.ll's
cabinet (he probably had two cabinets), viz. his "Catalogus van
sijn Rariteitenkabinet" (Amsterdam 1728) (Boehmer 1785, I, p. 390; Murray
1904, II, p. 267); and his "Museum Grilli.ani" (Amsterdam 10 April 1776; sold
after his death) (Boehmer 1785, I, p. 390; Vosmaer 1790; Lugt nr. 2525).
Grilliana to which he added his own commentaries (cf. Engelbronner, q.v.);
Argenville 1780, p. 335 mentions especially his minerals. Bjornstghl 1782,
