Chapter VIII Part 2: Interview Results<br />

Following on from Chapter VII Part 1: Log Results, the present chapter is to present the demographic and<br />

resultant findings from Phase 3 of the study – a series of one-to-one semi-structured interviews. The interview<br />

schedule (see Appendix 7) was designed around the findings from the previous research stage, and therefore was<br />

designed to further investigate the recorded phenomena. The interview stage also gave individuals more<br />

information from the results of Phase 1 (service-wide survey) as well as the chance to provide information on<br />

issues they feel had not been adequately covered already in the interview.<br />

3) Demographics<br />

Thirteen individuals took part in the interview phase, with the average length of interview being 32.5<br />

minutes. The interviews ranged in length from 8 minutes (one interview had to be cut short due to work<br />

commitments) to 53.5 minutes. Just two of the interviews that were conducted were done so over the telephone,<br />

with the others conducted over face-to-face at the employees’ place of work in an isolated room to ensure
