La morphologie du territoire détermine des différences climatique très évidentes à l’échelle fine - avec des températures annuelles moyennes comprises entre 10 et 16°C degrés et des précipitations comprises entre 1000 et 1200 mm - L’analyse de la distribution spatio-temporelle des températures et des précipitations dans la ville a été faite en considérant les données de deux stations appartenant au réseau du Servizio Meteorologico dell’Aeronautica Militare (SMAM), celle de Sestri Ponente, en face de la mer et celle de Passo dei Giovi, située à une altitude de 472 mètres sur un col qui met en communication la ville avec la plaine du Pô à environ 20 km au nord de la côte. Les données météorologiques communes aux deux stations sont limitées à la période 1963-1979. L’étude des valeurs thermométriques montre de très fort gradients verticaux pendant toutes les saisons,à cause de la position maritime de Sestri et continentale de Passo Giovi, tandis que l’étude des tendances pour la station de Sestri, à partir du 1963 jusqu’à 2000 – période sans forte urbanisation- a permis de quantifier de presque 1°C degrés la hausse de la température moyenne. L’étude de la pluviométrie a souligné des différences significatives pour les types pluviométriques des deux aires topographiques tandis qu’on n’observe pas de différences substantielles dans les quantités moyennes annuelles. Mot-clés : Morphologie complexe, aire de cyclogenèse, gradient pluvio-thermometrique, variations à l’échelle fine Abstract :The urban area of Genoa is 240 km 2 and it is characterized by a marked relief ratio; the city is confined between the Liguria sea to the south and the Apennines – with the highest peaks around 850 m s.l.m. – to the north. The landscape morphology determines significant climatic differences with mean annual temperature ranging from 10 to 16°C and annual precipitation ranging from 1000 to 1300 mm. The time-space analysis of temperature and precipitation has been carried out considering the data of two stations of the National Air Force Meteorological Service, i.e. Sestri Ponente, located on the coast and Giovi Pass, located 200 inland at an elevation of 472 m a.s.l., on a pass that connects the city with the Po Plain. The meteorological data refers to the 19631979 interval. The study of the thermometric values pointed out very steep thermal gradients during every season because of the different geographic position of the two stations; the study of the seasonal and annual trends for the Sestri station during the 1963- 2000 interval shows an increase of 1°C in both the minimum and maximum temperature, though the city has not been affected by a wide urbanization in the study time span. The analysis of rainfall data pointed out marked differences in the monthly precipitation of the two stations while modest differences are recorded in the mean annual values Key Words : complex morphology; low pressure air; thermo-pluviometric gradient; local climatic variations. Introduction La ville de Gênes s’étend sur presque 20 km de l’ouest vers l’est sur la côte de la mer ligurienne (Golfe de Gênes) tandis qu’à l’intérieur les quartiers les plus importants occupent le fonds des vallées des fleuves Polcevera et Bisagno, qui descendent de la ligne de partage des eaux des Apennins qui se trouve à moins de quinze kilomètres de la côte. A cette remarquable complexité orographique correspond une très grande variété de situations climatiques locales. Le territoire urbain ne dispose d’un réseau climatique assez satisfaisant que depuis les années 90, tandis que, dans la banlieue collinaire , manquent complètement des séries historiques longues et caractérisées par des données de bonne qualité. La série historique la plus longue de la ville est celle de l’observatoire de l’Université, situé au centre ville pas loin de la station de Sestri. 142
