When communications are to be used with the E53-CN@03N2 for the<br />

E5CN-H, or E53-EN03 for the <strong>E5AN</strong>/EN-H, connect communications<br />

cable across terminals 11 and 12 or 21 and 22.<br />

Specify both ends of the transmission path including the host computer as<br />

end nodes (that is, connect terminators to both ends).<br />

The minimum terminal resistance is 54 Ω.<br />

The RS-485 connection can be either one-to-one or one-to-N. A maximum<br />

of 32 Units (including the host computer) can be connected in oneto-N<br />

systems. The maximum total cable length is 500 m. Use AWG24<br />

(cross-sectional area: 0.205 mm2 ) to AWG14 (cross-sectional area:<br />

2.081 mm2 ) shielded twisted-pair cable.<br />
