woman", boši-s "(dat.) a boy", bža-s "(dat.) the Sun", tuta-s "(dat.) the<br />

Moon" (Megrelian); ķoči-s "(dat.) a man", osure-s "(dat.) a woman",<br />

bere-s "(dat.) a child", ķučħe-s "(dat.) a foot" (Chan); māra-s "(dat.) a<br />

man", zurāl-s "(dat.) a woman", žeğ -s "(dat.) a dog", ħoča -s "(dat.)<br />

good" (Svan)...<br />

The -s m<strong>or</strong>pheme of the Dative case occurs in the <strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong>m of the following<br />

allom<strong>or</strong>phs: -s, -sa, -h, -y, (//-ys, -yh, -yhs), c, Ø. They are<br />

<strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong>med due to phonetic alterations.<br />

dedayhs (Kartlian), sizmaras>sizmarays (Mtiuletian). In<br />

this case -ys, -yh, -yhs are complex sounds which have excursion of y and<br />

recursion of s <strong>or</strong> h.<br />
