Breaking and Entering<br />

Breaking and entering occurs when a character<br />

forces unwelcome entry into a building or location<br />

that has a closed or locked door, window, or<br />

other portal. This crime is a more serious version<br />

of trespassing.<br />

Bugbear: Criminals worth less than 100 s.p.<br />

have their tailbones broken and rectums entered with<br />

a sledge. Criminals worth between 100-1,000 s.p.<br />

have their tailbones broken. Criminals worth more<br />

than 1,000 s.p. are chastised severely.<br />

Dwarf, Black: The criminal is struck on<br />

both ankles with a footman’s warhammer.<br />

Dwarf, White: The criminal is fined 1d100<br />

g.p.<br />

Elf, Dark: Younger criminals are forbidden<br />

sexual relations for 1d10 years, while older criminals<br />

are beaten to death by their immediate family.<br />

Elf, Light: Younger criminals are forbidden<br />

from playing pranks and making music for 1d10<br />

years, while older criminals are starved to death.<br />

Human: The criminal is fined 1d100 s.p.<br />

Kobold: Slaves are fined 1d12 s.p., peasants<br />

1d10, serfs 1d8, nobility 1d6, and royalty 1d4.<br />

Troll, Subterranean: The home of the<br />

criminal is destroyed and all possessions ruined or<br />

stolen. Finally, the criminal is beaten.<br />

Burglary<br />

Burglary is the act of illegally breaking into<br />

a building, especially with the intent to steal. This<br />

crime is a more serious version of breaking and entering,<br />

which in turn is more serious than trespassing.<br />

Bugbear: Criminals worth less than 100 s.p.<br />

become slaves for the plaintiff, repaying 4 s.p. per<br />

day until 5 times the debt is repaid. Burglars who<br />

refuse slavery or are unable to work are killed upon<br />

sentencing. Criminals worth between 100-1,000 s.p.<br />

become slaves for the plaintiff, repaying 10 s.p. per<br />

day until twice the debt is repaid. Criminals worth<br />

more than 1,000 s.p. are chastised severely and must<br />

repay their debt.<br />

Dwarf, Black: The hands and feet are cut<br />

off with a footman’s battle axe.<br />

Dwarf, White: The criminal is banished.<br />

Elf, Dark: Younger criminals are forbidden<br />

sexual relations for 1d10 years, while older criminals<br />

are beaten to death by their immediate family.<br />

Elf, Light: Younger criminals are forbidden<br />

from playing pranks and making music for 1d10<br />

years, while older criminals are starved to death.<br />

Human: Slaves, peasants, and serfs are<br />

hanged. Noble and royal characters are beheaded.<br />

Kobold: The criminal is killed, if a slave.<br />

Otherwise, the criminal becomes a slave for life if a<br />

peasant, for 1d10 years if a serf, 1d6 years if nobility,<br />

and 1d4 years if royalty.<br />

Troll, Subterranean: The home of the<br />

criminal is destroyed and all possessions ruined or<br />

stolen. Finally, 1 limb of the criminal is maimed.<br />
