clothing. A tailor sits inside their shop, cutting and
sewing in clear view of the public. In this way, a
customer may inspect the work and a tailor may display
their skill. When the buying public arrives, the
tailor deserts his bench and hurries outside, Haggling
so aggressively that guild rules are needed for
restraint. For example, one guild rule is that customers
cannot be addressed who stop at a neighbor’s
stall. Cloth is obtained from drapers or weavers.
