Aerial Warfare<br />

Not all warfare occurs on land. It is possible<br />

for anakim with wings, dwarves, and elves to<br />

fly. Before aerial warfare may be considered, a few<br />

things must be determined for each flying creature,<br />

such as: Flight Speed, Ceiling Limit, Maneuverability,<br />

Climb Rate, and Dive Rate.<br />

Flight Factor<br />

A Flight Factor is a number that determines<br />

Flight Speed. To determine a Flight Factor, consider<br />

a particular creature and calculate the following<br />

equation:<br />

FF = (WI/HL)(PFS/W)<br />

Let FF = Flight Factor. Let WI = Wingspan<br />

in feet. Let HL = the Height or Length in feet<br />

of the creature. Let PFS = the average of the Physical<br />

Fitness and Strength sub-ability scores. Let W =<br />

Weight.<br />

For example, if a male human who is 6 feet<br />

tall were given wings that spanned 8 feet, and the<br />

human had average Physical Fitness and Strength,<br />

and Weight, then the human would have a FF of<br />

(8/6)(117/150) = 1.03.<br />

Next, consider the FF and consult the following<br />

For example, when considering the winged<br />

human from above, the winged human would have<br />

a Flight Speed of 200, which is, in this case, nearly 4<br />

times the Sprint Speed of a 6’ human without wings.<br />

Flight Speed<br />

Flight Speed is the number of feet per round<br />

at which a creature may fly. The higher the number,<br />

the faster the creature may fly.<br />

Ceiling Limit<br />

The Ceiling Limit is the highest altitude to<br />

which the creature may climb. The creature is incapable<br />

of flying higher than their Ceiling Limit.<br />

Maneuverability<br />

The Maneuverability of a flying creature is<br />

its ability to move as it pleases with respect to momentum.<br />

A flying creature with high Maneuverability<br />

is barely hindered by momentum and may<br />

greatly change its direction while flying. Conversely,<br />

a flying creature with low Maneuverability is greatly<br />

hindered by momentum and may barely change its<br />

direction while flying.<br />

Maneuverability is a function of the<br />

creature’s Agility sub-ability and the creature’s weight.<br />

To determine the Maneuverability Factor of a flying<br />

creature, divide the creature’s weight by their<br />

Agility sub-ability points. Then, consult the table<br />

below:<br />
