Falling Damage<br />

Characters unfortunate enough to fall will suffer damage according to the distance fallen. Freefalling<br />

characters accelerate at 8.5 meters per second (9.8 meters/second/second in a vacuum) to reach a terminal<br />

velocity of 115 miles per hour (toggling between 110 and 120) in 6 seconds. Consult the table below<br />

to determine the damage suffered:<br />

*By the 6 th second of falling, a character has reached terminal velocity and will not accelerate any<br />

further, but continues to fall at this rate.<br />

So, if a human character falls freely for 3 rounds (9 seconds), then they have fallen 747 feet, but<br />

will still receive only 8d20 damage, just as if they had only fallen for 6 seconds.<br />
