Chant: None<br />

Ingredients: Flour of wild dates, milk, and wine<br />

Ritual: Take the flour of wild dates that have been<br />

beaten with milk; you should make them together<br />

into a ball. Put in the wine!<br />

Description: Casting this spell will enable the imbiber<br />

of the ritualized ingredients to be immune<br />

to the effects of any Evil Sleep spell,<br />

as well as any other magical attempt to interfere<br />

with the dreams of the imbiber for 8<br />

hours. The entire liquid must be drank; sipping<br />

produces no effect.<br />

Against Menstruation<br />

Level: 1<br />

Magic Points: 8<br />

Discipline: Water<br />

Range: The dung of an ass<br />

Area: 1 woman<br />

Duration: 1 week<br />

Reference: PDM xiv. 1196-98.<br />

Chant: None<br />

Ingredients: Ass’s dung<br />

Ritual: You should fumigate a woman with an ass’s<br />

dung when the menstruation is on her. She<br />

stops.<br />

Description: Casting this spell will cause a woman<br />

to stop menstruating. All of the ass’s dung<br />

must be used for the spell to take effect.<br />

After a week, she will not menstruate. However,<br />

within a lunar month the female will<br />

begin to menstruate again in accordance with<br />

her cycle.<br />

Duration: 2 rounds to an exponential power equal<br />

to the level of the caster<br />

Ingredients: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Ritual: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Description: Casting this spell causes a creature<br />

to lose the capacity to smile. During casting,<br />

the caster must point at the target creature<br />

with a finger. A successful Aim skill<br />

check is required (see Chap. 8: Skills). If the<br />

check is passed, the target creature is unable<br />

to smile. All attempts to induce happiness<br />

in the target creature will be perceived by<br />

the target creature as annoying. The target<br />

creature is not necessarily angered or depressed,<br />

but simply finds no amusement.<br />

Events that would normally amuse the target<br />

creature now either irritate, bore, or anger<br />

them. When a creature is under the influence<br />

of Agelast, they usually withdraw<br />

from others and prefer not to be bothered.
