§ A1905. Powers and duties of Fire Coordinator. [Amended 11-4-1981 by L.L. No.<br />

6-1981]<br />

The Fire Coordinator shall administer the <strong>County</strong> programs for fire training and mutual aid in<br />

cases of fire and other emergencies in which the services of firemen would be used. He shall<br />

act as Chief Liaison Officer between the <strong>County</strong> government and the fire-fighting forces in<br />

the <strong>County</strong> and the governing boards and bodies thereof and shall perform such other duties<br />

as the <strong>County</strong> Executive or the <strong>County</strong> Legislature may direct.<br />

§ A1906. Deputies. [Added 11-4-1981 by L.L. No. 6-1981]<br />

The Fire Coordinator may appoint such Deputies as are deemed necessary, and the amount of<br />

their compensation, if any, shall be fixed by the <strong>County</strong> Legislature. All Deputy Fire<br />

Coordinators shall serve at the pleasure of the Fire Coordinator.<br />

A<strong>RT</strong>ICLE XX<br />

Department of Records<br />

§ A2001. Department of Records; <strong>County</strong> Clerk; election; term; qualifications.<br />

There shall be a Department of Records headed by a <strong>County</strong> Clerk. The election of the<br />

<strong>County</strong> Clerk, together with his term of office, shall be as provided in Article XIII of the New<br />

York State Constitution.<br />

At the time of his election and throughout his term of office, he shall be a qualified elector of<br />

the <strong>County</strong>. Throughout his term of office, the <strong>County</strong> Clerk and his Deputies shall devote<br />

their whole time to the duties of their offices, shall hold no other elective office and shall hold<br />

no other public office or be engaged in any employment, business or professional activity<br />

with any governmental unit without compliance with § C2610 of the Charter.<br />

§ A2002. Powers and duties.<br />

The <strong>County</strong> Clerk shall have and exercise all the duties and shall be subject to all the<br />

obligations and liabilities heretofore and hereafter lawfully granted or imposed by the Charter,<br />

Code, local law, resolution or ordinance of the <strong>County</strong> Legislature, order or direction of the<br />

<strong>County</strong> Executive not inconsistent with those powers and duties under the New York State<br />

Constitution vesting in said office.<br />

§ A2003. Reports.<br />

On or before March 1 in each year, the <strong>County</strong> Clerk shall make an annual report for the<br />

immediately preceding calendar year, covering generally the work of his Department. The<br />

<strong>County</strong> Clerk shall make such other reports at such times as may be required by the <strong>County</strong><br />

Legislature, <strong>County</strong> Executive or any other applicable law. Copies of all reports shall be filed<br />

with the Clerk of the <strong>County</strong> Legislature and the <strong>County</strong> Executive.<br />
