§ C2410 BROOME COUNTY CHA<strong>RT</strong>ER AND CODE § C2501<br />

the approved reasonable value of expenses incurred in the performance of their appointed<br />

duties as members of said Advisory Board. The Advisory Board shall elect from among its<br />

members a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. The Advisory Board may adopt bylaws which<br />

shall not be inconsistent with the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Charter or Administrative Code, any law or<br />

regulation, or any resolution or the <strong>County</strong> Legislature.<br />

The <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board, subject to any limitations<br />

contained herein or elsewhere in the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Charter and the Administrative Code, or<br />

otherwise established by this <strong>County</strong> Legislature, shall have the following powers and duties:<br />

(A) To develop and maintain a liaison to encourage cooperation and communication in the<br />

operation of emergency medical services in <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong>.<br />

(B) To cooperate with the New York State Department of Health and other authorized state<br />

agencies in effectuating the purposes for which said agencies were established in relation<br />

to such emergency medical services programs.<br />

(C) To act as an advisory body to the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Executive, the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

Legislature, the Emergency Medical Services Coordinator and the Director of Emergency<br />

Services, if any, of <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> in connection with <strong>County</strong> participation in<br />

connection with training, mutual assistance and cooperation in the operation of such<br />

services and in connection with any <strong>County</strong> establishment and maintenance of a <strong>County</strong><br />

Emergency Medical Service Training School and manual assistance and communication<br />

programs connected with emergency medical services available in <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong>.<br />

(D) To recommend and coordinate any emergency medical services training program on the<br />

local level as may be requested by the several local emergency medical services and as,<br />

from time to time, approved and authorized by the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Legislature.<br />

(E) To perform such other duties as the <strong>County</strong> Executive or the <strong>County</strong> Legislature may,<br />

from time to time, request or prescribe in relation to emergency medical services in cases<br />

of emergency or disaster in cases where emergency medical services may be used or<br />

required.<br />

(F)<br />

To consider problems or suggestions that may be presented by any group or individual<br />

relative to emergency medical services or in connection with problems of mutual<br />

cooperation and assistance between the several such services available in <strong>Broome</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong>.<br />

§ C2501. Contracts with public corporations and authorities. [Amended 4-4-1991 by<br />

The <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Broome</strong> shall have power to contract with any public corporation, including<br />

but not limited to a municipal, district or public benefit corporation as defined in § A2501 of<br />

the Administrative Code, or with any public authority or combination of the same for the<br />

establishment, maintenance and operation of any facility and the rendering of any service<br />

which each of the contracting parties would have legal authority to establish, maintain,<br />
