§ 28-1. Purpose.<br />

The purpose of this Article is to supersede that portion of the New York State <strong>County</strong> Law<br />

§ 215, Subdivision 3, which limits the term of the county's leases of real property to five<br />

years.<br />

§ 28-2. Time limits for leases.<br />

The Legislature of the <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Broome</strong> may lease for county purposes real property for<br />

terms not exceeding 15 years, with the privilege of renewal.<br />
