§ A2409 BROOME COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE § A2601<br />

(D) Pursuant to § 1532 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York, through the<br />

Director, act as the enforcing officer of the <strong>County</strong> for the purpose of the collection of<br />

tax liens on real property pursuant to Article 11 of the Real Property Tax Law of the<br />

State of New York. [Added 10-4-1983 by L.L. No. 15-1983]<br />

A<strong>RT</strong>ICLE XXV<br />

Service Relationships<br />

§ A2501. Contracts with public corporations and authorities. [Amended 4-4-1991 by<br />

L.L. No. 10-1991]<br />

Contracts with public corporations and public authorities as used herein, are described as<br />

follows:<br />

(A) A "public corporation" includes a municipal corporation, a district corporation and a<br />

public benefit corporation.<br />

(B) A "municipal corporation" includes a <strong>County</strong>, city, town, village and school district.<br />

(C) A "district corporation" includes any territorial division of the state other than a<br />

municipal corporation heretofore or hereafter established by law, which possesses the<br />

power to contract indebtedness and levy taxes or benefit assessments upon real estate or<br />

to require the levy of such taxes or assessments, whether or not such territorial division is<br />

expressly declared to be a body corporate and politic by the statute creating or<br />

authorizing the creation of such territorial division.<br />

(D) A "public benefit corporation" is a corporation organized to construct or operate a public<br />

improvement wholly or partly within the state, the profits from which enure to the<br />

benefit of this or other states or to the people thereof.<br />

The <strong>County</strong> of <strong>Broome</strong> shall have the power to contract with any public corporation,<br />

including but not limited to a municipal, district or public benefit corporation as defined<br />

above or with any public authority or with any combination of the same for the<br />

establishment, maintenance and operation of any facility and the rendering of any service<br />

which each of the contracting parties would have legal authority to establish, maintain,<br />

operate or render for itself. The costs and expenses incurred, as well as charges for central<br />

facilities and administrative services relating thereto, shall be borne proportionately by each<br />

such contracting party as agreed upon.<br />

General Provisions<br />

§ A2601. Administrative and advisory boards.<br />

The Board of Trustees of the <strong>Broome</strong> Community College shall have such powers and only<br />

such powers as those specified in the Education Law of the State of New York. Except as<br />

provided in such Education Law, the Board shall be advisory and subject to the provisions of<br />

the Charter and this Code.<br />
