§ 187-7. Owner's preference.
Nothing within this chapter shall prevent a vehicle owner from choosing to call a tower who
is not on the County towing list; provided, however, that should the tower be unable to
respond in what the officer at the scene feels is a reasonable period of time and the officer at
the scene has safety concerns regarding the vehicle's location, the officer may supersede the
desires of the owner and call a tower, based upon the list.
§ 187-8. Documentation of requirements.
Following the establishment of the initial towing list, the County will update the list, based
upon any new applications, on a semiannual basis. In order to maintain accurate records and
accountability to the citizens, should information provided in a permit application change, the
towing firm must report such change to the Office of the Sheriff within 72 hours by calling
778-2492, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
