§ C2409 BROOME COUNTY CHA<strong>RT</strong>ER § C2410<br />

(A) Keep a record of all real property owned and acquired by the <strong>County</strong>. Such record shall<br />

show the date the property was acquired, the tax map description thereof and the town in<br />

which the property is located and shall be properly cross-indexed to the original deeds of<br />

acquisition.<br />

(B) Prepare tax maps for the use of the assessors of all the assessing units in the <strong>County</strong>,<br />

except for the City of Binghamton; on such maps shall be shown each separately<br />

assessed parcel of real property with its boundaries properly marked, pursuant to the Real<br />

Property Tax Law. The <strong>County</strong> Legislature may authorize the preparation of tax maps as<br />

required herein for the City of Binghamton, provided that the consent of the city is<br />

obtained and terms are mutually agreed upon between the city and the <strong>County</strong><br />

Legislature.<br />

(C) Keep a record of the transfer of title to real property in each tax district and immediately<br />

notify the Town Clerk or the City Commissioner of Assessment of all such transfers in<br />

each town or city, as the case may be.<br />

(D) Pursuant to § 1532 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York, through the<br />

Director, act as the enforcing officer of the <strong>County</strong> for the purpose of the collection of<br />

tax liens on real property pursuant to Article II of the Real Property Tax Law of the State<br />

of New York. [Added 10-4-1983 by L.L. No. 15-1983]<br />

§ C2410. Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board. [Added 9-20-1978 by L.L. No.<br />

5-1978; amended 4-4-1991 by L.L. No. 9-1991; 11-22-1994 by L.L. No. 17-1994]<br />

There shall be and there hereby is created a <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Emergency Medical Services<br />

Advisory Board, which Advisory Board shall consist of the <strong>County</strong> Executive and his or her<br />

designee, the Chair of the Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee of the <strong>Broome</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> Legislature or his or her designee and one (1) member from each member agency<br />

appointed by the <strong>County</strong> Executive, subject to confirmation by a majority of the <strong>County</strong><br />

Legislature. Member agencies shall be volunteer emergency squads, private and municipal<br />

ambulance services, fire department emergency squads, first responder units and any other<br />

agencies that render prehospital emergency care, possess a New York State Department of<br />

Health EMS provider number and are authorized by same to provide said care in <strong>Broome</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong>.<br />

Each member agency shall every two (2) years recommend an individual from its agency to<br />

the <strong>County</strong> Executive for appointment to the Advisory Board. Each member agency may also<br />

recommend an individual from its agency to the <strong>County</strong> Executive for appointment as an<br />

alternate member of the Advisory Board subject to confirmation by the <strong>County</strong> Legislature.<br />

Alternate members may attend and participate in meetings of the Advisory Board but shall not<br />

be entitled to vote except in the absence of the member from that agency. The term of office<br />

of members and alternate members shall be two (2) years. Members of the Emergency<br />

Medical Services Advisory Board, except for the Chair of the Public Safety and Emergency<br />

Services Committee of said <strong>County</strong> Legislature, shall serve at the pleasure of the <strong>County</strong><br />

Executive. The members of the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board<br />

shall be <strong>County</strong> officers and shall serve without compensation, but may, within the limitation<br />

of any funds provided for such purpose by the <strong>County</strong> Legislature, receive reimbursement of<br />
