§ A2604 BROOME COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE § A2609<br />

The following positions in the classified service shall be included in the exempt class:<br />

(A) Deputies who are authorized to act generally for and on behalf of their principals.<br />

(B) The confidential secretary to any officer or department head.<br />

(C) Calendar Clerk.<br />

(D) Personnel Officer.<br />

(E) Assistant District Attorneys.<br />

(F) Assistant and Deputy <strong>County</strong> Attorney.<br />

(G) Assistant Public Defenders.<br />

(H) Contractors and their employees engaged to perform specific services.<br />

§ A2605. Filling vacancy in elective office of <strong>County</strong> Executive.<br />

Where there is a vacancy, resulting other than by expiration of term or by creation upon<br />

passage of the Charter, in the office of <strong>County</strong> Executive, it shall be filled in the manner as<br />

provided in § C2605 of Article XXVI of the Charter.<br />

§ A2606. Filling vacancy in elective office of District Attorney, Sheriff and <strong>County</strong><br />

Clerk.<br />

Where there is a vacancy resulting other than by expiration of term in any elective <strong>County</strong><br />

office, including but not limited to the Offices of District Attorney, Sheriff and <strong>County</strong> Clerk,<br />

it shall be filled in the manner as provided in § C2606 of Article XXVI of the Charter.<br />

§ A2607. Filling other vacancies.<br />

A vacancy in the office of the head of any administrative unit, the head of which, by virtue of<br />

the Charter, the <strong>County</strong> Executive or the <strong>County</strong> Legislature shall have the power to appoint<br />

or remove, shall be filled in the manner as provided in § C2607 of Article XXVI of the<br />

Charter.<br />

§ A2608. Power to administer oaths and issue subpoenas.<br />

The <strong>County</strong> Legislature and the <strong>County</strong> Executive shall be empowered to conduct<br />

investigations into any subject matter within their jurisdiction as provided in § C2608 of<br />

Article XXVI of the Charter.<br />

§ A2609. Officers and employees engaging in other transactions.<br />

All officers and employees of the <strong>County</strong>, including members of the <strong>County</strong> Legislature, shall<br />

be subject to the provisions of § C2609 of Article XXVI of the Charter.<br />
