ARTICLE I
General Provisions
§ 168-1. Definitions.
Unless otherwise specifically provided herein, the following words and terms used in this
Code are defined for the purposes thereof as follows:
CODE — The Broome County Sanitary Code.
COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH — The executive officer of the Broome County Health
Department as established pursuant to § C701 of the Broome County Charter.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH — The Broome County Department of Health as established
pursuant to § C701 of the Broome County Charter.
HEALTH BOARD — The Advisory Board appointed as prescribed in the Broome County
Administrative Code and pursuant to § C703 of the Broome County Charter.
HEALTH DISTRICT — The Health District comprising the entire area of Broome County
heretofore or hereinafter established.
