ARTICLE I
Enhanced 911 Surcharge

§ 120-1. Definitions.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
SERVICE SUPPLIER — A telephone corporation which provides local exchange access
service within Broome County.
SYSTEM COSTS — The costs associated with obtaining and maintaining the
telecommunications equipment and the telephone service costs necessary to establish and
provide an E911 system.
§ 120-2. Amount of surcharge. [Amended 11-2-1995 by L.L. No. 12-1995; 11-12-1996 by

Commencing January 1, 1997, there shall be imposed on each customer of a service supplier
within Broome County a surcharge of $0.35 per access line per month.
