Pistol or Revolver License Fees<br />

[Adopted 3-22-1988 by L.L. No. 1-1988]<br />

§ 125-5. Fee established.<br />

The <strong>County</strong> Clerk shall collect and pay into the <strong>County</strong> Treasury a license fee of $10 for the<br />

possessing or carrying of a pistol or revolver.<br />

§ 125-6. Duplicate licenses.<br />

The fee for a duplicate license, in accordance with § 400.00 of the Penal Law, shall be $5.<br />

§ 125-7. Transfer between counties.<br />

The fee for processing a license transfer between counties, in accordance with § 400.00 of the<br />

Penal Law, shall be $5.<br />

§ 125-8. Waiver for retired police officers.<br />

The fee, in accordance with § 400 of the Penal Law, for processing a license for a qualified<br />

retired police officer, as defined under Subdivision 34 of § 1.20 of the Criminal Procedure<br />

Law, shall be waived.<br />

Inspections of Weights and Measures<br />

<strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> will collect for each inspection (or reinspection after repair) and each testing<br />

(or retesting after repair) of all weights and measures, weighing and measuring devices and<br />

systems and related accessories within <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong>, pursuant to the fee schedule sat forth<br />

by the State of New York in 1 NYCRR Part 220, Section 220.3a.<br />

A. Reseal fee for vehicle metering systems: $25.<br />

B. Waiver of fees. The charges set forth in § 125-9 shall be waived for the reinspections of<br />

all weighing and measuring devices and systems and related accessories in <strong>Broome</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> for those businesses incurring damages related to a natural or man-made disaster<br />

resulting in a declaration of a state of emergency by the <strong>County</strong> Executive.<br />

(1) Eligibility for this program shall be limited to the business owners suffering<br />

damage due to such man-made or natural disaster.<br />
