authorization to operate suspended or revoked. Any vehicle not presented at a duly scheduled<br />

inspection may be denied authorization to provide ground transportation services at the airport<br />

by the Commissioner of Aviation or his/her designated representative, provided that said<br />

vehicle is not presented for inspection within seven days of the original inspection date.<br />

§ 85-17. Vehicles not approved.<br />

Any vehicle which is found, after such inspection as provided in § 85-16 of this article, to be<br />

in any way unsuitable for hiring services may immediately have its authorization to provide<br />

ground transportation services at the airport suspended or revoked, and before being<br />

reauthorized to provide ground transportation services at the airport shall be delivered to the<br />

Commissioner of Aviation or an authorized representative of the <strong>Broome</strong> <strong>County</strong> Department<br />

of Aviation at a designated point for reinspection.<br />

§ 85-18. Random inspections of taxicabs, limousines, vans, and other motor vehicles.<br />

The Commissioner of Aviation or authorized representatives of the Department of Aviation<br />

shall have the right, after displaying proper identification, to enter into or upon any authorized<br />

taxicab, limousine or van for the purpose of ascertaining whether or not any provisions of<br />

these requirements are being violated. Any taxicab, limousine, or van which is found, after<br />

any such inspection, to be in any way unsuitable to provide ground transportation services<br />

immediately shall lose its authorization to provide ground transportation services at the<br />

airport, and before regaining authorization, such vehicle shall be reinspected.<br />

§ 85-19. Damaged vehicles.<br />

Vehicles that have been damaged and can be driven safely in accordance with state law and<br />

without reduction of the customer's comfort shall be given a three-week grace period to<br />

perform needed repairs. After such time, the vehicle will be restricted from operating at the<br />

airport until proper repairs are made.<br />

General Operations<br />

§ 85-20. Conduct responsibilities.<br />

A. An entity or ground transportation services provider granted a ground transportation<br />

permit as described herein shall at all times be responsible for all conduct, actions and<br />

activities of itself and its employees, agents, drivers and/or representatives, acting in any<br />

capacity whatsoever, while on airport property.<br />

B. All entities or ground transportation service providers shall provide each of their drivers<br />

with a copy of this chapter governing ground transportation operations at the airport. All<br />

entities or ground transportation service providers shall ensure that each of their drivers<br />

are cognizant of and understand these regulations.<br />
