If the inverter D.C. voltage rises above a certain level due to the regenerative energy of the motor, the decelerating<br />

slope is adjusted or re-acceleration occurs in order to reduce the regenerative energy. This can be applied when short<br />

decelerating time is required without additional braking resistance and braking unit. However, be careful that the<br />

decelerating time might be longer than the set decelerating time and damage might occur because of overheat of the<br />

motor if applied to loads which frequently decelerates.<br />

7.1.19 Frequency limit (Operation with limited frequency)<br />

You can limit the operating frequency by using the maximum frequency and start frequency and by setting the<br />

upper/lower limits on the frequency.<br />

1) Frequency limit using maximum frequency and start frequency<br />

DRV-19 Start Freq (Start Frequency): the lower limit to the parameter with speed-related units(Hz, rpm). If you set<br />

the frequency below the start frequency, it is at 0.00.<br />

DRV-20 Max Freq (Maximum Frequency): the upper limit to the parameter of all speed units(Hz, rpm) other than<br />

the base frequency(DRV-18 Base Freq). You cannot set the frequency above the maximum frequency.<br />

Caution<br />

Do not use this function in case of load with frequent deceleration. It may cause overheating of the<br />

motor and malfunction.<br />

Caution<br />

Stall prevention and Power Braking are available only in case of deceleration. And, Power Braking<br />

has a priority. That means that Power Braking operates when BIT3 of PRT-50 and Power Braking of<br />

BAS-08 are set. In case of that deceleration time is too short or inertia is too big, over voltage trips<br />

may occur.<br />
