7 Data Services Tightening Technology | Bosch Rexroth AG 107/3167.2 Ethernet communicationData output after sequence end (asynchronous):Table 7–14: Number of results filesSingle channel results Number of results files that can be transferredper minuteYes ≤ 100Yes ≤ 40Yes ≤ 35The maximum number of results files that can be transferred after the sequence end is higher, since thedata does not need to be stored in the mass storage during the process.7.2.6 Initial operation of the Ethernet connectionThe CS351 Compact System is connected to the Ethernet via the X7E1 interface. The interface is describedfurther in the operating instructions for the CS351 Compact System.A distinct IP address for every client in the network is necessary in order to set up communication viaEthernet. This address from the local virtual address space is saved with the assistance of the operatingsystem.NoteIf another device has the same address on the Ethernet, there will be an IP address conflict and bothdevices will be unable to communicate.⇒The physical connection to Ethernet should take place only after the correct IP address has been entered. In the following cases, using the FTP data services requires a CF350 storage module:– Results output after sequence end via FTP– ID code preparation via FTPNote Always provide the Compact System with a CF350 storage module (see page 84).7.2.6.1 Configuring the Ethernet connectionConfiguration of the necessary parameters to communicate in Ethernet takes place via the configurationof the interface.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
