7 Data Services Tightening Technology | Bosch Rexroth AG 143/3167.4 Profibus DP communicationA description of the control signals and their applications can be found in chapter 6, “Control Signals” onpage 55.NoteData exchange via Profibus DP can only take place if the input/output data area has been configured andat least one control signal has already been set.Tightening results are output for each tightening process. This is why a clear identification of the tighteningresults is necessary, to be able to e.g. assign archived tightening results at a later point. The CS351Compact System enables the identification of each tightening result record with an ID code provided bythe partner controller.7.4.1.4 Layout of the data buffer for transferring ID codes and results dataThe data buffer in the IMpdp interface module is divided into an input area and an output area. The partnercontroller (Profibus master) stores the input control signals and ID codes in the input area; the Profibusmaster picks up the output control signals and tightening results from the output area. All data (control signals, ID codes, tightening results) is located in a linear storage area at a location thathas been set by the configuration (see page 143). During the planning stage, the so-called master datafile (GSD) informs the partner controller how the data buffer is structured.Table 7–32: Division of the data bufferInput areaOutput areaControl signalControl signalID codeResults outputinputsoutputsSize 2 to 8 bytes 0 to 64 bytes 2 to 8 bytes 0 to 198 bytesTotal size←⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Max. 200 bytes ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯→ ←⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Max. 200 bytes ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯→←⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Max. 400 bytes ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯→7.4.2 Results output via Profibus DP7.4.2.1 Configuration of the Profibus interfaceThe configuration of the necessary parameters for communication with Profibus DP takes place via theconfiguration of the interface.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
