Data exchange between the tightening system andthe partner controllers takes place physically via a shielded cable with separate wire pairs for the powersupply and the data. To do this, an IMdev interface module is inserted in slot A of the Compact System.The layers of the OSI layer model are assigned as follows in DeviceNet:Layer 7Layer 6Layer 5Layer 4Application layerInterface to the application program with application-orientedcommands (read, write).Display layerSession layerTransport layerbased on CIP(Common Industrial Protocol)Layer 3Layer 2Network layerBackup layerDescription of the bus access method. The Tightening System 350 provides the data (control signals) accordingly in the outputarea of the data buffer or takes over the data from the input area (control signals and ID code).
