206/316 Bosch Rexroth AG | Tightening Technology 9 Tightening Processes9.2 Tightening program stepsNoteInformation on determining the correction factors can be found in chapter 10, “Working with the System”on page 245!9.2.1.3 Play at start switchThe field Evaluation from includes the value of the torque threshold for play at the start switch as a percentageof the nominal torque. Evaluations (OK/NOK) and result output for a tightening are carried outfrom this threshold. However, this only occurs if the Additional functionality hand-held nutrunner hasbeen activated in the channel configuration. The evaluation and result output are suppressed if the maximumoccurring torque is below the set threshold. The default value is 5%. Values between 0 and 100% can be set.NoteInformation on the additional functionality hand-held nutrunner can be found in chapter 8, “Basic Commissioning”!9.2.1.4 Gradient parametersGradient parameters are used to parameterize the calculation of the gradient values (especially importantwith tightening processes controlled by the yield point (see page 238)).The gradient is determined directly on the measurement transducer. The Torque filter factor and Chordangle parameters required for this are sent from the tightening controller to the measurement transducerafter the tightening start. Gradient determination is begun with the tightening start or from the set torquethreshold. The gradient is a measurement of the slope in the torque/angle of turn graph. It increases and decreaseswith the course of the torque. The gradient is calculated approx. every 0.25° 1) (increments) according to:ΔT difference of the average torque valueG = ------- = ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ΔAchord angle totalThe Torque filter factor and Chord angle gradient parameters to determine the gradient are only to beindicated for:– Tightening programs with the target function Gradient (see page 215)– Tightening programs with the target function Yield point (see page 213)– Tightening programs with the monitoring function Gradient (see page 214)– Tightening programs with the monitoring function Yield point (see page 238)Torque filter factorThis entry stipulates the number of measured values used to form the average torque value (averagerange). Averaging of the torque is implemented as a floating average value (see page 207).A minimum of 4 and maximum of 64 torque values may be used to form the average value. 20 is presetas the standard value.Chord angle This entry determines the increments in [°] for calculating the gradient. The setting range is between 2.00°and 16.00°; 8° is preset as the standard value.A smaller value results in a faster response of the gradient to torque changes; a larger value filters outtorque peaks better, but has a slower response time.Filter intervalThis entry is used to improve suppression of output drive-specific interferences in the gradient signal. Itleads to an extended smoothing of the gradient graph, but also delays gradient evaluation. The settingrange can be selected from between 0.00° and 60.00°. 0° is preset as the standard value, i.e. filtering isswitched off.1) The gradient calculation is executed parallel to the cycle time for the measurement transducer. Atspeeds < 100 min -1 , approx. 0.25° per measurement can be assumed.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
