The ErgoSpin has a mechanicalinterface to flange on accessories (e.g. a support).The torque system monitors the torque during a tightening process. The measurement is made via DMStechnology: In the nutrunner, the generated signal is converted, digitalized, and transferred to the tighteningcontroller as a BUS signal checked for plausibility.The speed of the EC motor can be controlled independently of the given torque (even at very low speeds,the EC motor provides the required nominal torque). The EC motor's compact design facilitates fast runupand braking, which results in a high level of tightening precision and quality.The angle of turn system monitors the angle of turn during a tightening process. The angle of turn is measuredcontact-free and digitally transferred to the controller. Thus, the controller can recognize the angleof turn and direction of nutrunner rotation at any time.The hand-held nutrunner is equipped with electronics that make it possible to digitally exchange data withthe power electronics and the controller. In addition, existing controller signals are evaluated and forwardedaccordingly.2.4.3 Operating systemThe BS350 operating system is used to configure the tightening system, create tightening programs bydefining the tightening processes, analyze tightening cases, and to perform system diagnosis (e.g. errordiagnosis).
