232/316 Bosch Rexroth AG | Tightening Technology 9 Tightening Processes9.2 Tightening program stepsSelect whether the tightening results should be output from the end step or the previous step with theradio button in the Tightening results field. This selection will have an effect on all data interfaces, includingthe actual value display in the BS350. Two settings may be selected:– From previous step: The result values from the tightening steps and, if necessary docu steps, completedbefore the end step are output. The results from the end step are not output.– From end step:– NOK case: Result values from the end step (results of loosening integrated in the end step) and,if necessary, docu steps, are output– OK case: Result values from the previous tightening step and, if necessary, docu steps, are output(the end step does not contain any results if OK).Loosen tighteningtoolActivate this checkbox (Fig. 9–41) to loosen a jammed tightening tool from the bolt head. This functioncan, for example, be used with OK or NOK tightening cases that are programmed without a loosen functionin the end step. After activation, the loosening parameters must be defined in the Loosen tighteningtool group field. The target functions available here include Angle and Upper torque.TSFigure 9–42:Graph with defined tension relief and subsequent loosening(1) Start angle counting (last tightening step)(2) Angle after defined tension relief(3) Start angle counting “LOOSEN”(4) Tension relief(5) End of defined tension relief = start of looseningOnce the stipulated target value (e.g. torque or angle of turn) has been reached, the tightening spindlewill be switched off and then relieved of tension according to the definition (Fig. 9–42). This defined reliefof the tension reduces the torsion that occurs in the spindle during tightening. This relief ends once thetension falls below 0.5% of the nutrunner nominal torque. The angle of turn (opposite to the tighteningdirection) necessary for tension relief is also dependent on reaching this threshold. If the Loosen tighteningtool function is active, the tightening tools turns with a specific angle of turn against the tighteningdirection after the tension has been relieved; this opposite angle of turn is related to the cut-out point beforetension relief and freely programmable. Because loosening is done after the tension has been relieved, you have to also take the angle of turn necessary for tension relief into consideration whenparameterizing the loosening function. The speed for loosening the tightening tool must be entered as a percent of the nominal speed (standardentry 5%) in the Additional functions field. The direction of rotation is automatically determined by thetightening controller depending on the last tightening step. For safety reasons, switching torque monitoring (Torque monitoring function) is used during the Loosentightening tool function, which prevents the bolt from being unscrewed during the loosening process.Angle of turn monitoring (Angle monitoring function) can be optionally used. The upper tolerance limitmust be entered for each.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
