Start the registration editora. Click on Start → Run.b. Enter regedit and click on OK.2. In the registration editor, open the section HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFT-WARE\<strong>Rexroth</strong>\BS<strong>350</strong>\2.000.3. Change the entry RunMultiple to 1.4. Save the changed entry.The BS<strong>350</strong> is now capable of multiple starts.5. Copy the program directory, as described in the previous section.10.1.1.3 Assigning the interfaces to the various tightening cellsThe PC can be connected to a tightening system via the USB interface.Using Ethernet, any number of tightening cells can be addressed from one Ethernet interface on the PC.The necessary entries of the IP addresses are stored in the program directory for each tightening cell andare automatically used during a start to set up the connection via the associated link.NoteThe necessary steps for setting up an Ethernet interface can be found in chapter “Initial operation of theEthernet connection” on page 107.10.1.2 Setting up the Ethernet interface on the PC and tightening system10.1.3 Full version and service packsBoth partners must be configured as Ethernet participants to set up the connection via Ethernet.For the PC, this is done via its operating system; this setting is made for the interface module via the configurationof the tightening channel in the BS<strong>350</strong> operating system.Detailed information on configuring the Ethernet interface can be found under “Setting up the programminginterface” on page 175 and “Configuring the Ethernet connection” on page 107.The functions of many components in the tightening system are implemented via software. This includes:– CS351 Compact <strong>System</strong>– BS<strong>350</strong> operating system– ErgoSpin ESA, ESV and ESM hand-held nutrunnersThis software (full version) has been created during product development and is available on the <strong>System</strong>Stick.An additional program version is installed when a full version of the BS<strong>350</strong> is installed. Old program versionsthat are no longer needed can be uninstalled (deleted) after the new version has been installed.Updates for the full version are also provided via the Internet as a part of product development.In general, there are two types of software updates:– Service packs for the BS<strong>350</strong> always refer to a full version and also contain the changes carried outin the previous service packs. Service packs for the BS<strong>350</strong> require an installation of the appropriatefull version, as the packs only add supplements to the installed full version.– In contrast, a service pack for a firmware completely replaces the previous firmware version.NoteService packs are provided in the Internet under http://www.schraubtechnik.com.10.1.3.1 Software and firmware version requirementsAll components are provided with installed firmware.<strong>System</strong> <strong>350</strong> | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
