Read and understand these safety instructions and all user documentationprior to working with the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system. If you do not have the user documentation forthe <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system, contact your responsible Bosch <strong>Rexroth</strong> sales representative. Ask forthese documents to be sent immediately to the person or persons responsible for the safe operation ofthe <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system.When selling, lending and/or distributing in any other way the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system and its componentsthe present safety instructions must also be supplied in the corresponding user language.4.1.2 Instructions for UseWARNINGDanger of injuryImproper use of the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system and its components and the failure to follow the safetyinstructions in this document or tampering with the product, including disabling of safety devices,may result in material damage, bodily harm, electric shock or even death!⇒ Observe the safety instructions!Read the following information prior to initial commissioning of the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system and its componentsin order to avoid personal injuries and/or material damage. The present security instructions mustbe followed at any time.– The company Bosch <strong>Rexroth</strong> AG assumes no liability for damages as a cause of failure to observethe warning instructions in the present documentation and in the documentations of all componentsof the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system.– Read the operating, maintenance and safety instructions in your language before commissioning themachine. If you find that you cannot completely understand the documentation for your product,please ask your supplier to clarify.– Proper and correct transport, storage, assembly and installation, as well as care in operation andmaintenance, are prerequisites for optimal and safe operation of the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system.– Check the product for visible defects, for example cracks in the housing or missing screws orseals.– Before commissioning, make sure that all the connection gaskets and plugs are installed correctlyto ensure that they are leakproof and fluids and foreign bodies are prevented from penetrating theproduct.– Make sure that all electrical connections are either used or covered. Commission the product onlyif it is installed completely.– Only use <strong>Rexroth</strong> products within the performance range provided in the corresponding technicaldata.– Do not expose <strong>Rexroth</strong> products to any mechanical loads under any circumstances. Never use<strong>Rexroth</strong> products as a handle or step. Do not place any objects on <strong>Rexroth</strong> products.– Only assign trained and qualified persons to work with <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening systems:– Only persons who are trained and qualified for the use and operation of the device may work onthe <strong>Rexroth</strong> tightening system or within its proximity. Qualified persons refers to persons who havereceived sufficient training in the assembly, installation, and operation of the <strong>Rexroth</strong> tighteningsystem and its components and information on warnings and precautions according to thepresent documentation and the documentation of the respective component.– Furthermore, they must be trained, instructed and qualified to switch electrical circuits and deviceson and off in accordance with technical safety regulations, to ground them and to mark them<strong>System</strong> <strong>350</strong> | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
