8 Basic Commissioning <strong>Tightening</strong> Technology | Bosch <strong>Rexroth</strong> AG 193/3168.5 Operating the Compact <strong>System</strong>8.5.6.1 Synchronizing date and time with an external clockThe date and time can be manually set in the BS<strong>350</strong>. Additionally, the clock can be set automatically, viaa so-called timeserver. In this case, the clock is set to the timeserver clock whenever the system is bootedand periodically thereafter.To indicate a timeserver:1. In the BS<strong>350</strong> operating system, click on <strong>System</strong> → <strong>Tightening</strong> channel configuration.2. Double click on the parameter field for the Compact <strong>System</strong>.The <strong>Rexroth</strong> BS<strong>350</strong> Compact <strong>System</strong> parameter dialog will appear.Figure 8–17:Configuration of time synchronization with an NTP server3. Enter the name (or IP address) of the timeserver in the NTP server address field.4. Assign the synchronization interval in the Sync interval field.5.
