7 Data Services Tightening Technology | Bosch Rexroth AG 145/3167.4 Profibus DP communicationPhysical interfaceStation addressThe physical characteristics of the interface are configured as follows and cannot be set in the operatingsystem:– Data rate [kbit/s]: 19.2; 93.75; 187.5; 500; 1500; 3000; 6000; 12000 (is automatically set by theProfibus master)– 1 start bit– 8 data bits– 1 parity bit (straight)– 1 stop bitThe station address is the address for the IMpdp interface module in the Profibus network.NoteThe address is assigned during Profibus planning. The address section is from 2 to 123. The Profibusmaster (partner controller) is usually assigned either address 0 or 1.Number of I/O pointsThis parameter sets how many control signals should be processed via the Profibus interface. The valuerange is between 16 to 64 input/output signal pairs.NoteThis setting only reserves the storage space for the logical control signals (1 bit per input or output). Controlsignal assignment is done using the PLC assignment table.Receive dataSend dataGSD fileDetermines how much storage space should be reserved to receive the ID code (1 byte per character). The value range can be up to 64 bytes.Determines how much storage space will be reserved for results output. The value range can be up to200 bytes 1) .Before the IMpdp interface module can be correctly configured as a Profibus participant in the Profibusconfigurator (e.g. “COM-Profibus” from Siemens), the software requires a participant profile in the formof a GSD (master data file). The GSD file allows the software to recognize the set parameters and theirvalue ranges. As the parameters and their value ranges can sometimes influence each other (the total data quantity inthe output buffer can be divided up between the control signals and results output in various ways), werecommend not carrying out the parameterization with the general GSD file in the Profibus configurator.Rather, create a master data file that only permits the set values after you have set the parameters in theBS350 operating system.Example If 16I + 16O have been set as the number of I/O points, 16 inputs (= 2 bytes) and 16 outputs (= 2bytes) will also be available in the Profibus configurator.⇒After setting all the parameters, create the master data file by clicking on Create GSD file. Save thefile and import it into the Profibus configurator.7.4.2.2 Sending the configuration to the tightening systemThe interface configuration is only valid after the settings have been sent to the tightening system.1) The indicated value ranges are maximum values that can only be fully used if the other parametershave not been set to the maximum value. The criterion for this is a total amount of 200 bytes of datain the output data area. The BS350 operating system then takes the total amount of data into accountduring input.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
