It is not necessary to delete this file before transferring.Note The general ID code settings can be found in section “Identification codes” on page 79.The options “Delete ID code after start” and “Extend ID code with sequence number” are supported whentransferring ID codes via FTP.Table 7–3 illustrates how the ID codes are used in the results output, depending on the ID code availability. The ID code must be available before the tightening channel is started (Ch x.y Cw orCh x.y Ccw).Table 7–3: ID codes usedID code source set in BS350 ID code provision ID code used in the results outputFTP/Ethernet File available ID code from fileNo file available (ID code deleted) Cycle counterConfiguration of the tightening system as an FTP serverThe tightening system has to be configured as an FTP server in order to receive the ID code files. Thereby, the partner controller has write access to the IDCode directory.Access to the tightening systems's mass storage is protected by a user name/password. The partner controller'sFTP client must thus log in (using the commands user [user name] and pass [password]),before it can transfer a file.To configure the tightening system as an FTP server:1. In the BS350 operating system, click on System → Tightening cell data → FTP.2. Select the ID code index card.3. Enter the user name and password to access the FTP server.Only one user account can be created in the FTP server for the tightening system. However, two sessionscan be active at the same time, both of which may use this user account.NoteThe configured information on user name and password must be entered in the partner controller's FTPclient in order for the FTP client to be able to log in to the tightening system's FTP server.Authorized characters in the ID code fileIn order to be able to generate a valid file from the character sequence in the ID code file, the charactersused must correspond to the file name conventions for MS-DOS. The following characters, among others, are allowed:– a-z– A-Z– 0-9– _ (underscore)All other characters (including periods (.) and empty spaces) are accepted by the tightening system. Theywill be presented unchanged in the results output, however, an underscore (_) will be used for the filename.ExampleID code file contents (exactly the first 27 characterswere selected for masking):Resulting file name:AB 123.4_567,89.10C,ˆ% TESTCh_AB_123_4_567_89_10C____TEST.txtSystem 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
