They consist of a:– Start step– Single tightening step– End stepNoteDetailed information on tightening steps and processes can be found under “<strong>Tightening</strong> Processes” onpage 201.The following describes how to generate programs for tightening and loosening a screw.8.5.4.1 <strong>Tightening</strong> program for tightening a screwThe tightening program for tightening a screw starts the tightening spindle clockwise. The following exampleshows all the steps this requires.To generate a new tightening program:1. Click on File → New → <strong>Tightening</strong> programs in the BS<strong>350</strong>.2. Select a program number, e.g. 1.3. Assign a name to the tightening program, such as Test by overwriting the existing program name n.a.(not available). (If program number 0 is selected, “n.a.” is not displayed).4. Select the end step and click on the symbol .A single tightening step is added before the end step (see Figure 8–15).Figure 8–15:<strong>Tightening</strong> program for the sequence testNoteThe following entered data has to be adapted to the respective tightening channel configuration.
