This will make it possible to access the previous version at any time.Firmware updates are used to update the software in the various components of the tightening system.The firmware for the hardware components can only be updated using the BS350 operating system.NoteThe software versions can be called up in the BS350 operating system:– Firmware of the components per tightening channel under System test → Info tightening cell→ Firmware– BS350 operating program under ? → About BS350To perform a firmware update:1. Click on Update.10.1.3.3 Converting existing programs and applications after a firmware updateDue to the further development of hardware and software for the Tightening System 350, it may be necessaryto update existing tightening programs in accordance with the firmware versions used in the tighteningcell components.Tightening programs that were created with older program/firmware versions can still be run. It is alsopossible to send a tightening program with an older version to the controller. After the Send commandhas been given, the program version is compared to the firmware version and any incompatibility reported,if necessary. If, in spite of an incompatibility, you send the tightening program, it will be sent in the olderversion.The version will be compared to the current BS350/firmware version if a tightening program is called upin the BS350.
