212/316 Bosch Rexroth AG | Tightening Technology 9 Tightening Processes9.2 Tightening program stepsNotePay attention to the stipulated output order for the docu buffers (1, 2 ...9, last step) during programming!Assign the docu buffers according to the logical sequence in the tightening process! Docu buffers areavailable in the standard tightening step and the extended tightening step.Graph resolutionTightening step categoryAs standard, the graph resolution selected in the start step is preset here. However, an individual graphresolution setting can be selected for this tightening step from the drop-down list, if needed. The category assigned to the tightening step is used when determining the quality code. The quality codedescribes whether a tightening has been evaluated as OK or NOK. With an NOK evaluation, the causewill also be described. The Tightening step category is used for a detailed differentiation of NOK cases,so that a different quality code can be output for the same NOK cause (e.g. T < T–) in various tighteningsteps.Possible categories include e.g.:– Tightening– Preliminary tightening– End tightening– Loosen– ReworkNoteDefinition of a quality code assignment table is described in the online help files in the BS350 as well asin chapter 10, “Working with the System” on page 245.9.2.2.2 Target functionThe target function defines the set value (target parameter) of the tightening. This group field includes:– A drop-down list to select the target function– Torque– Angle– Time– Yield point (can only be used from the 2nd standard tightening step)– Input– An entry field for the set value of the target function (e.g. Angle and 320°)– A selection option (checkbox) for a 2nd target function. In addition the permanently activated 1st target function, it is also possible to activate a 2nd target function. If a 2nd target function is activated, you will also find in this group field:– An additional drop-down list to select the target function (torque, angle, time, yield point, input)– An entry field for the set value of the target function. You may not select the same target functions. If two target functions are activated, the first one reached will end the tightening step.TorqueAngleTimeThe target parameter within a tightening step is the measured torque. If the tightening is to be completedas OK, it must reach a specific value (set value), which leads to the end of the tightening step. The spindle (= bolt) is rotated at a stipulated angle. Angle counting begins when the torque threshold isexceeded. If angle correction has been selected (see page 204), the attained angle value may be below the set angle, since the torsion angle was subsequently subtracted. The duration of a tightening is stipulated here. The tightening step ends once it has reached the stipulatedtightening time.System 350 | 3 608 878 040/05.2008
