28 Click View menu ➤ Visibility/Graphics.<br />

29 On the Model Categories tab, expand Lines, and clear Underslab Drainage.<br />

This turns off the visibility of the underslab drainage lines only in this view.<br />

30 Click OK.<br />

31 In the Project Browser, under Floor Plans, double-click Level 1.<br />

32 Click View menu ➤ Visibility/Graphics.<br />

33 On the Model Categories tab, expand Lines, and clear Underslab Drainage.<br />

34 Click OK.<br />

35 Click File menu ➤ Save.<br />

36 Proceed to the next exercise, Modifying Annotations on page 91.<br />

In this exercise, you create a new dimension style using units of measurement that differ from the project<br />

settings. You also load a new beam annotation symbol and apply it to show the beam instance number<br />

rather than the beam type number.<br />

NOTE This exercise requires the completion of the previous exercise. Use the project file that you saved at the<br />

end of that exercise, m_Settings-in progress.rvt.<br />

Create a new dimension style<br />

1 Verify the 3D View is active.<br />

2 Click Settings menu ➤ Annotations ➤ Dimensions ➤ Linear.<br />

3 In the Type Properties dialog, click Duplicate.<br />

4 Enter Linear - <strong>Metric</strong> for name, and click OK.<br />

5 Under Text, click the default value for Units Format.<br />
