19 On the Options Bar, for Label, select B.<br />

Save the new profile<br />

20 Click File ➤ Save As.<br />

21 Navigate to a folder of your choice.<br />

22 In the Save As dialog, for File name, enter Square, and click Save.<br />

Create a new project<br />

Sketch a slab<br />

23 Click File menu ➤ New ➤ Project.<br />

24 In the New Project dialog, click Browse.<br />

25 In the <strong>Metric</strong> Templates folder, in the Choose Template dialog, select Structural Analysis-Default<br />

<strong>Metric</strong>.rte, and click Open.<br />

26 In the New Project dialog, click OK.<br />

27 In the Project Browser, under Structural Plans, double-click Level 2.<br />

28 On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Slab.<br />

You are now in Sketch mode.<br />

29 On the Design Bar, click Lines.<br />

30 On the Options Bar, click (Rectangle).<br />

31 Draw a slab in the center of the drawing area.<br />

32 On the Design Bar, click Finish Sketch.<br />

The slab is created.<br />

Load the overlapping rebar into the new project<br />

33 Click the Window menu, and be certain that the Square.rfa file is open.<br />

The file should still be open. If it is not, open the file from the saved folder location.<br />

34 On the Families Design Bar, click Load into Projects.<br />

35 In the Load into Projects dialog, select the new project, and click OK.<br />

The new overlapping rebar family is now loaded into the slab project.<br />
