13 In the Project Browser, under 3D Views, double-click East Section - Perspective.<br />

14 Click File menu ➤ Close.<br />

To save changes, click File menu ➤ Save As, and save the exercise file with a unique name, or<br />

close the exercise file without saving changes. The next exercise uses a new training file.<br />

15 Proceed to the next exercise, Completing the Structural Model on page 154.<br />

Completing the Structural Model<br />

In previous lessons, you have added columns and horizontal framing to your model. In the exercises that<br />

follow, you complete the structural model, adding horizontal framing, bracing, openings, foundation, and<br />

concrete wall framing.<br />

Completing the Steel Framing of Level 2<br />

In this exercise, you complete the horizontal framing of Level 2 by adding girders and beam systems, as well<br />

as cantilevers and outriggers.<br />

Training File<br />

■ Click File menu ➤ Open.<br />

■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open <strong>Metric</strong>\m_RST_CSM_2.rvt.<br />

Add girders using the grid tool<br />

1 In the Project Browser, under Structural Plans, double-click Level 2.<br />

2 On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Beam.<br />

3 In the Type Selector, select UB-Universal Beam: 356x171x51UB.<br />

4 On the Options Bar:<br />

■ Specify Level 2 for Plane.<br />

■ Specify Girder for Usage.<br />

■ Click Grid.<br />
