Adding Column Grids<br />

In this exercise, you use the imported drawing as a background for creating both vertical and horizontal<br />

grids.<br />

Training File<br />

Continue to use the project training file saved in the previous exercise, m_RST_EW_Modelling.rvt.<br />

Place vertical grids<br />

1 In the Project Browser, select Views (all) ➤ Structural Plans ➤ Level 2.<br />

2 Enter ZF (Zoom to Fit).<br />

3 On the Drafting tab of the Design Bar, click Grid.<br />

4 On the Options Bar, click .<br />

5 Select the first vertical grid line.<br />

Notice that the grid line is highlighted, and a value of 1 appears within the grid bubble.<br />

6 Scroll to the bottom of the drawing, and select the next vertical grid line to the right of grid line<br />

Notice that it is labeled 2.<br />
