Adding a Composite Deck<br />

In this exercise, you add a composite deck to Level 2.<br />

Training File<br />

■ Click File menu ➤ Open.<br />

■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open <strong>Metric</strong>\m_RST_CSM_Add_Deck.rvt.<br />

Add composite deck<br />

1 In the Project Browser, under Structural Plans, double-click Level 2.<br />

2 On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Slab.<br />

3 On the Design Bar, click Floor Properties.<br />

4 In the Element Properties dialog:<br />

■ For Type, select 160mm Concrete with 50mm Metal Deck.<br />

■ Under Constraints, enter -200 mm for Height Offset from Level.<br />

5 Click OK.<br />

6 On the Design Bar, click Lines.<br />

7 Sketch lines along the structure perimeter using the interior-most model lines of the glazing as<br />

snap points, and then sketch along the girders.<br />

8 On the Design Bar, click Finish Sketch.<br />
