Dataset<br />

■ Click File menu ➤ Open.<br />

■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open<br />

<strong>Metric</strong>\m_STR_Project_Phasing_Schedules.<br />

Create a structural column schedule for Phase 1 (south)<br />

1 On the View tab of the Design bar, click Schedule/Quantities.<br />

2 In the New Schedule dialog, do the following:<br />

■ Under Category, select Structural Columns.<br />

■ Enter Columns - Phase 1 for Name.<br />

■ Select Phase 1 (south) for Phase.<br />

■ Click OK.<br />

3 In the Schedule Properties dialog, click the Fields tab.<br />

4 Under Available Fields, select the following fields, and click Add to add them to the schedule<br />

in order:<br />

■ Count<br />

■ Family and Type<br />

■ Length<br />

TIP Press and hold CTRL to make multiple selections under Available Fields.<br />

5 Click the Sorting/Grouping tab, and do the following:<br />

■ Select Family and Type for Sort By.<br />

■ Select Length for Then by.<br />

■ Select Grand totals.<br />

■ Clear Itemize every instance.<br />

■ Click OK.<br />

You can drag a column grid line to adjust the width of a column.<br />

Create a structural framing schedule for Phase 1 (south)<br />

6 On the Design Bar, click Schedule/Quantities.<br />

7 In the New Schedule dialog, do the following:<br />

■ Under Category, select Structural Framing.<br />

■ Enter Framing - Phase 1 for Name.<br />

■ Select Phase 1 (south) for Phase.<br />

■ Click OK.<br />
