Continue using the training file saved at the end of the previous exercise,<br />

m_Groups-Condominium_in_progress.rvt.<br />

Save a group to a library<br />

1 In the Project Browser, under Groups\Model, right-click 2 Bedroom Unit, and click Save Group.<br />

2 In the left pane of the Save Group dialog, click Desktop.<br />

3 For File name, verify that Same as group name is selected, and click Save.<br />

You can save a group as a Revit project file (RVT) if you are working in a project, or a Revit family<br />

file (RFA) if you are working in the Family Editor. In this case, the file is saved as a Revit project<br />

file (RVT).<br />

Load the group in a new project<br />

4 Click File menu ➤ New ➤ Project.<br />

5 In the New Project dialog, accept the default template file, for Create new, verify that Project is<br />

selected, and click OK.<br />

6 Click File menu ➤ Load from Library ➤ Load File as Group.<br />

7 In the Load File as Group dialog, browse to the Desktop, select 2 Bedroom Unit.rvt, and click<br />

Open.<br />

8 In the Duplicate Types dialog, click OK.<br />

A warning dialog displays, explaining that duplicate types were found and the types from the<br />

new project will be used.<br />

Place an instance of the loaded group<br />

9 In the Project Browser, expand Groups, and expand Model.<br />

10 Right-click 2 Bedroom Unit, and click Create Instance.<br />

11 Click in the drawing area to place the group instance.<br />

12 On the Design Bar, click Modify.<br />

13 Zoom in to the 2 Bedroom Unit group.<br />
