Flex the design<br />

52 Repeat the following techniques for the right tee of the beam.<br />

■ Draw vertical reference planes.<br />

■ Add dimensions to each reference plane.<br />

■ Align the bottom horizontal surface.<br />

■ Sketch the new profile.<br />

53 On the Design bar, click Family Types.<br />

54 In the Family Types dialog, specify the following:<br />

■ For Tee Width, enter 1500 mm.<br />

■ For Width, enter 3000 mm.<br />

■ Click Apply, and then click OK.<br />

The beam should adapt to all changes. If it does not, fix any problems with alignment or<br />

constraints.<br />

55 Click Edit menu ➤ Undo Family Type to undo the dimension changes.<br />

Reload the family into the project<br />

56 On the Design Bar, click Load into Projects.<br />

57 In the Reload Family dialog, select Override parameter values of existing types, and click Yes.<br />

Notice the project file becomes active and the beam updates with the latest changes.<br />
