Examples of Automatic Adjustment in the Analytical Model<br />

The analytical model that is generated in Revit Structure has discrepancies that are not suitable for direct<br />

integration with structural analysis and design software. Revit Structure provides the capability to<br />

automatically adjust the analytical model to reduce or eliminate these discrepancies for newly created<br />

elements as well as the ability to disassociate or reassociate the auto-detect parameter for existing elements.<br />

NOTE The auto-detect feature automatically adjusts the analytical model when creating the following structural<br />

elements within a project.<br />

■ Creating beams<br />

The corresponding beam to slab projection planes are matched. For example, setting both planes to level<br />

2 as shown:<br />

■ Creating columns<br />

Places the analytical model of columns and walls in the same plane as shown:<br />
