TIP Instead of trying to place the reference plane in its exact location initially, you can place it in the general location and then zoom in and use temporary dimensions. This helps ensure that the plane is measured from the face of the wall rather than from the wall centerline. To change where the temporary dimension is measured from (face, centerline, and so on), click the blue square on the witness line.
