Set top of steel<br />

9 On grids H and J, delete the 2 small beam sections between grid lines 4 and 5.<br />

10 On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Beam.<br />

11 On the Options Bar:<br />

■ Specify Level 2 for Plane.<br />

■ Specify Girder for Usage.<br />

12 Select a column center, and draw a girder from column to column, framing the bays with girders.<br />

NOTE In the following image, framing tag visibility was turned off and the beam visibility increased<br />

for training purposes.<br />

13 On the Design Bar, click Modify.<br />

14 Right-click the girder between H3 and J3, and click Select All Instances.<br />

15 On the Options Bar, click .<br />

16 In the Element Properties dialog:<br />

■ Under Constraints, for z-Direction Justification, select Other.<br />

■ Under Constraints, for z-Direction Offset Value, enter -400 mm.<br />

■ Click OK.<br />

Copy the girders to levels above<br />

17 Click Edit menu ➤ Copy to Clipboard.<br />

18 Click Edit menu ➤ Paste Aligned ➤ Select Levels by Name.<br />

19 In the Select Levels dialog, select Level 3 and Level 4.<br />

20 Click OK.<br />

21 In the Project Browser, expand 3D Views, and double-click East Section - Perspective.<br />
